Description
Belt tensioner assembly for BMW N52 and N53 engines keeps consistent pressure on the auxiliary drive belt as the engine operates. Correct belt tension is necessary for components such as the alternator, air-conditioning compressor and power steering system to function reliably where applicable.
A worn belt tensioner may cause a squealing or rattling sound, visible belt movement, uneven belt wear or vibration from the front of the engine. In severe cases, the belt can slip off or break, potentially leaving important engine accessories without drive.
This unit is suitable for selected BMW E90 and other compatible models fitted with N52 or N53 engines.
